C.A.T.S. Software was founded in 1994. The company separated itself from the original company C.A.T.S. Computer And Technology Service GmbH which was known for distributing CAD-complete systems as well as hard- and software since 1988. With the foundation of C.A.T.S. Software a legal line was drawn between the software development and the complete business including the hardware.

A highly motivated team of developers is permanently integrating new functions into the software according to our customers requirements. Each module has a designated Project Manager but all Project Managers have been working closely together for years. The excellent support team consists of technicians and engineers of the technical building industry. They register each user problem and promptly submit solutions.

The sales structure is centralized to constantly meet the high requirements of the C.A.T.S. customers who consist of planning offices and manufacturing companies of the technical building industry. For training purposes the complete C.A.T.S. software packages are also available for schools and universitities etc. With a turnover of 2 million Euro (2006) and 20 employees, C.A.T.S. has grown into a market leader position in the technical building industry.

C.A.T.S. Software is a customer orientated service company. The major focus has changed during the years from solely developing CAD applications towards offering highly professional solutions for all customer requirements.

  David Johnson is the founder of the Climatic Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Inc., and HVAC/Mechanical Contracting Company located in West Melbourne, Florida. Since graduating from High School in Western New York State in 1967, he has been in one way or another associated with the HVAC industry. After relocating from New York to Florida in 1975, Climatic Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Inc. was established in March of 1978.

In the 30 plus years of operating Climatic, he has overseen mechanical projects, commercial and industrial, up to $3,000,000 in value.

Climatic had been searching for a product that would be capable of generating mechanical coordination models for his Commercial and Industrial projects. Mike Santiago introduced David to C.A.T.S. Software in October of 2007.

In December of 2007 C.A.T.S. Software agreed to partner with David and Mike to creating a software for release in the US Market. Climatic has, with great success, been running the software products since then.

Mike Santiago is a US citizen, born and raised in Germany. In Germany, he served his apprenticeship in mechanical contracting and promoted to a Field Superintendant prior to his professional education as a Mechanical (HVAC) Engineer. After completion of his engineering study, Mike had over 10 years of experience using the C.A.T.S. Software Products. After relocating from Germany to Florida in March of 2006, he began his employment with Climatic. After 1½ years of working as a Field Superintendant, he was promoted to Lead Staff Engineer at Climatic.

In December of 2007 C.A.T.S. Software GmbH agreed to partner with David and Mike in creating a software for release in the US Market. Climatic has, with great success, been running the software products since then.

  Andreas Schwab founded C.A.T.S. Software GmbH in 1994. A flat hierarchy together with a friendly atmosphere have created a company which has in this sector quickly emerged as the market leader. The C.A.T.S. Software product has been able to set a new standard in CAD technology, with more than 700 clients in Germany and approximately 2000 installations up to the year 2000.
The company has a clearly defined business objective of constant growth through increases in productivity and by constantly applying future-oriented strategies.
     
Head of Development
     
  Werner Herbert, the head of the development department, continually presents new ideas and has a vast knowledge of the trade. In his engineering office new versions of C.A.T.S. Software are immediately tested. Six full time developers and two freelancers constantly work with him on new upgrades for C.A.T.S. Software.
     

Development
     
  Dipl. Inform. Klaus Benthin was the first at C.A.T.S. Software who started to develop a 3-dimensional application for the craft ventilation. With this development C.A.T.S. Software started to move into a new direction. The simpleness and consistency of his application are part of C.A.T.S.'s success.
     
  Dipl. Inform. Marcus Heilmann is in charge of the craft sanitary and the C.A.T.S. Manager for drawings. The optimization of the hydraulic calculations, as well as the realisation of new concepts in CAD, the coordination of already existing and new standards are part of his assignment. Furthermore he is responsible for the internet and operating systems.
     
  Dipl. Ing. Raha Mohtasham has the most experience and responsibility in AutoCAD, operating systems and peripheries. As an "old hand" he is completely at home with basic AutoCAD and the integration of other systems together with their installation.
     
  Dipl. Ing. Esa Leppiniemi brought well-grounded knowledge into AutoCAD, as well as external databases and technical calculations. His responsibility is the further development of the crafts heating and sprinkler.
     
  Dipl. Math. Reza Mottaghi is the professor of the team: he can solve the most difficult tasks. His focus is on the craft piping, the generation of of new 3-dimensional objects and all about the products of VDI 3805.
     
Finances    
     
  For some people finances might be a dry matter: not so for Anna Koczon. She finds finances not only challenging but also interesting.
As the most loyal member of staff she is dedicated to these tasks and always finds the best solution, even when there are conflicting interests.

Technical Support
     
The excellent support team consists of engineers and technicians from public utility supplies whose task is to follow up the problems individual users have and to suggest possible solutions.
Training courses for the optimized use of C.A.T.S. Software are carried out in small groups in generously equipped trainig rooms. The groups are divided according to their abilities.
     
 

Dipl.-Ing. Frank Robakowski was educated at the university of applied sciences in Wiesbaden. In the course of his employment first at M.A.N.and then at Planungsgruppe Haustechnik in Norderstadt he gained his considerable professional experiences.

In 1995 he joined the support team of C.A.T.S. Software GmbH. He not only provides support via telephone, but also conducts training courses for the use of C.A.T.S. applications. His main focus is on the modules sprinkler and piping.

     
 

Claus Zöller has been a staff member of C.A.T.S. software since 1998. Before his graduation as a heating, ventilation and cooling technician he worked as a draughtsman at the installation company RUF in Kleinheubach for 5 years.

Claus Zöller's task is to solve customers' questions via telephone and to convey his knowledge of the software in training courses. He is the interface between user and development.

     
 

Michael Crössmann's professional career began 1990 as a technical drawer. After eleven years of practice he absolved his studies as a technician of heating, sanitary and ventilation. Afterwards he took part in a training course as business economist.

Michael Crössmann joined C.A.T.S. Software GmbH in 2004 and is engaged in support, teaching and presentation.
